Many of our members dressed up in commemoration of the meeting theme, Welcome the Spring. Saane wore flowers and a veil on her head like a bride while her partner Toni wore a neck garland as a bridegroom. Emily decorated her hair with beautiful flowers. Les surprised us all and glued flowers on his not so young cheek! Richard displayed flowers from his garden which were so freshly picked that we even could see an insect kissing the flower. Our webmaster Jeffrey set a video background with Spring fields to show the wonder of nature. Spring was embraced☺☺☺.
Although we were in COVID-19 level three lockdown, we were still able to cheerfully engage with everyone by hearing their voices and seeing them express themselves through Zoom. Five prepared speakers warmed up the chilly night with their personal stories:

- Richard – Laughter Project
Our table topic master Emily presented 14 impromptu questions in an amazing 24 minutes! Here are some questions you may wish to try yourself – 2 minutes is the time limit! ☺
- Give us a funny face. Then tell us what would you do if you needed to cheer yourself up?
- Wave both hands, then tell us how you would comfort someone if he or she feels down.
- Give us a big smile then describe a spring picture to us.
- Pat your shoulder, then tell us some fun things you do during lockdown.
- Jump up high, then tell us what would you like to do most on a beautiful spring day?
- Show us a dancing move (You can make one up), then tell us what did you do to keep yourself physically active during lockdown?
- Make a happy sound, then tell us what is your ideal day like?
- Take a pose, then tell us what your ideal society or world would be like?
We held an induction ceremony for our newest member Maria and she also delivered her first icebreaker speech. We also welcomed our guest Lynn. We look forward to hearing more from both of you!
During our business section our president Saane along with the club officers announced our club will be setting up a humorous website for everyone to showcase any humorous speeches or jokes they come up with. Watch this space!
