The word of the evening yesterday was “euphoria” which described the evening well. There was much happiness and excitement. It was wonderful experiencing an evening of Latin culture which chairman Daniel themed the meeting. We even had a Piniata! Steve made the evening fun with his smile story and as Toastmaster he was creative in the way he introduced speakers with the meanings of their names.
We inducted the new members Aline and Daisy to the club who both gave excellent icebreaker speeches. Other speeches included Yetzabel with a speech about mentoring, Kevin W informing us about parking while making it a fun game for the audience, Prenha with a speech about how journaling can be a tool to give us clarity in our life’s situations, and Ivo spoke about volunteering for St John. Kevin W also introduced the Table Topic speeches for the evening with the theme of summer which meant we heard about some favourite holiday experiences of members and guests.
It was wonderful being able to share such a fun evening with so many guests. Can’t wait for the next meeting!
